Building Safer Roads for Every Resident
Every day, thousands of people travel the roads of Jefferson County—going to work, dropping their children off at school, visiting family, or supporting local businesses. But too often, dangerous driving behaviors such as speeding, tailgating, and impaired driving put our citizens at unnecessary risk. As someone who has served in law enforcement for more than 30 years, I know that road safety is one of the most pressing concerns in our community.
If elected Sheriff, improving roadway safety will be one of my top priorities. This means combining proactive enforcement with education and community involvement. Law enforcement can’t be everywhere at once—but when we work together with residents, neighborhood groups, and local leaders, we can identify problem areas and address them more effectively. My goal is to create a safer, more predictable environment where everyone feels confident traveling our county roads.
By increasing visibility, expanding public awareness campaigns, and partnering with schools and organizations on prevention programs, we can significantly reduce the behaviors that lead to accidents and injury. Road safety is not just a traffic issue—it’s a community issue. It affects families, businesses, and the quality of life for every person who calls Jefferson County home. Together, we can make our roads safer for everyone.
